A Safe Space to Connect

Living with ADHD or supporting a neurodivergent family member can often feel isolating. Many people spend years searching for answers, navigating lengthy waiting lists, trying to make sense of conflicting information, and feeling misunderstood by those around them.

My own journey highlighted just how difficult it can be to access the right support. While seeking assessments and support for both myself and my children, I encountered long waits, limited resources, and a huge amount of misinformation online. Wanting to better understand ADHD and support my family effectively, I trained as an ADHD Coach—a decision that transformed not only my understanding of ADHD but also our lives as a family.

One of the most powerful lessons I learned was the importance of self-validation. Through greater awareness, understanding, and psychoeducation, we can begin to challenge years of self-doubt, build self-acceptance, and develop a healthier relationship with ourselves.

Research suggests that neurodivergent children can receive significantly more negative feedback than their neurotypical peers during their early years. Over time, these experiences can impact confidence, self-esteem, and self-perception. Finding a community of people who understand your experiences can make an enormous difference.
